Full Council Meetings

Full meetings of the Council are held every two months (on the 2nd Thursday in the month), except August at such premises that the Council may direct. (Usually held at The Seeds of Hope, Overgreen Drive, Kingshurst, B37 6EY).

In an election year, the Annual Meeting shall be held on a Thursday within 14 days following the day on which the new Councillors elected take office.

In a year which is not an election year the Annual Meeting shall be held on the second Thursday of May, unless otherwise stated.

If no other time is fixed, all full meetings of the council shall take place at 6pm.

Standing Committee Meetings

Finance Committee and HR/Staffing meetings are held prior to Full Council Meetings on the dates listed.

Annual Parish Meeting

The Annual Parish Meeting is not a council meeting. It is a meeting of the parish electors and must be held between 1 March and 1 June. We have advertised that the Annual Parish Meeting is planned for 3oth May 2024. It will take place, at the Seeds of Hope, Overgreen Drive. Please let the Clerk know if you wish to attend.

Electors can contribute to the agenda and in practice the meetings are used to celebrate local activities and debate current issues in the community for decision making.

The Chairman of the council, any two councillors or any six electors can call the Annual Parish Meeting.

The Chairman, if present, will chair the meeting.

It is usual to hold the Annual General Meeting and the Annual Parish Council meeting at different times, to avoid confusion.
